Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) Applications: (For Executive Committee Action)

  • 12 South Portland Avenue – Fort Greene Historic District (PDF) – Application is to remove an existing dormer and raise the attic roof.
  • 29 Jay Street – Dumbo Historic District (PDF) – Application is to enlarge a masonry opening to accommodate a public entrance, install new signage and exterior lighting and new mechanical equipment which will not be visible from the street.
  • 357 Waverly Avenue – Clinton Hill Historic District (PDF) – Application is to construct a new 44′-2″ deep, 16′-8″ wide, one-story rear-yard addition, along the northern side property line and construct a 35′X8′ in-ground pool, 9′-6″ from the rear (eastern) property line.
  • 144 Montague Street – Brooklyn Heights Historic District (PDF) – Application is to install signage.
  • 177 Montague Street – Brooklyn Heights Historic District (PDF) – Application is the installation of two cooling towers and new mechanical equipment.

Rhea Wong, Executive Director, Breakthrough New York, will brief the education committee on program and plans for a Brooklyn expansion.

The committee meeting will begin with the approval of the agenda and introduction of the committee officers. The meeting will conclude with the approval of the previous month’s meeting minutes, a chairperson’s report, other business and a community forum during which the public may speak
