Historic Fort Greene Brooklyn

Make Your Opinion Count: Participate in our Resident Retail Survey Today!

The Fort Greene Association (FGA) seeks the opinions of the residents of Downtown Brooklyn, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill and Wallabout Bay. We are interested in learning what retail and service businesses you feel are needed you will support when they arrive to the neighborhood. This survey will be used to identify specific businesses that will complement existing businesses in the area and to assist our neighborhood partners (Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, Fulton Area Business (FAB) Alliance, Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership, and Pratt Area Community Council) in attracting new retail and service tenants to the neighborhood.

Please take fifteen minutes to complete the FGA Resident Retail Survey online survey:

Residents who complete the FGA’s resident retail survey will be entered into a raffle to win goodies from our neighborhood partners (Fulton Area Business (FAB) Alliance, Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership, and Pratt Area Community Council) and the FGA.

In 2008 the Fort Greene Association’s Retail Committee distributed the Fort Greene Shopping Survey where the results revealed that Fort Greene and Clinton Hill residents desired a local bookstore. That caught the attention of Rebecca Fitting and Jessica Stockton Bagnulo who opened in 2009, the Greenlight Bookstore. The FGA looks forward to seeing what new businesses develops from this year’s survey and grows over the years with the continued support from the neighborhood.

The Fort Greene Association (FGA) is devoted to historic preservation, neighborhood and park enhancement, as well as cultural, economic and housing advancement throughout the neighborhood of Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
