Community Board 2 Invites You to the following Meetings:
Community Board 2 (CB2) will hold its monthly parks and land use committee meetings this week. Please note the February parks committee meeting is rescheduled a week earlier than usual to prevent a conflict with the President’s Day holiday.
All CB2 committee meetings begin with the approval of the agenda and introduction of the committee officers. The meetings conclude with the approval of the previous month’s meeting minutes, a chairperson’s report, other business and a community forum during which the public may speak.
Parks and Recreation Committee
Monday, February 13

The committee and general public will have the opportunity to meet Mike Lavery, the Department of Parks and Recreation’s (DPR) new district manager for Brooklyn Community District 2.
Marty Maher, DPR Brooklyn chief of staff, is now confirmed to speak about a $500,000 state grant for Commodore Barry Park. DPR is currently determining how to make the required local match.

The committee will also review the following Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) application:
151 Lafayette Avenue — Fort Greene Historic District — Application is to replace the non-original, Art Deco brownstone relief around the front door to match the profile above the windows on the building.
