Celebrating Hispanic Heritage - Brooklyn Style
with the Brooklyn Music School

This past Saturday the Fort Greene Association (FGA) participated in the Brooklyn Music School’s 1st Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Street Festival. Festival attendees tasted traditional dishes from Caribbean and Latin American countries. Children had the opportunity to participate in free music and dance classes offered by the Brooklyn Music School, and the many festival performances blew the crowd away. The FGA had a great time meeting current and former Fort Greene residents who stopped by our table to design their very own musical maracas.

Meet a few of our talented maracas designers and see their beautiful designs
