Wondrous Mulchfest
Do recall how wonderful it was to see a forest moving through the neighborhood to Fort Greene Park for two days. 1,200 trees are now mulch, headed to a new life in our parks and gardens. Green FG&CH volunteers Richard Norton, Sheartease Wheeler, Adrina Crichlow, Rebecca Marcus, Yu Bin Huang and Jess Greenbaum publicized Mulchfest, organized tree collections, gathered and received trees and spread warmth. John Dew, Ed Friedman and the crew at Clinton Hill Coops and Kiko Katani at University Towers all supported the project organized by the Fort Greene Park Conservancy and assisted by the Fort Greene Association and the Society for Clinton Hill. Special thanks to the FGA’s Roslyn Huebener for her ornament reminders. Great idea!
