Give yourself and your neighborhood the most memorable 2012. Thirty-nine years ago in 1973 impassioned neighbors worked toward the goal of establishing the Fort Greene Historic District, foreseeing the vibrant multi-cultural neighborhood we have today. In 1978 their efforts were rewarded and the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission [LPC] designated a part of Fort Greene as a Historic District, but the LPC omitted so much more that was good.
Now we all have a chance to help in extending the Historic Fort Greene District as it was so keenly envisioned by our predecessors in 1973.
I ask you as Fort Greener to Fort Greener to take a few moments to sign our online petition urging LPC to move rapidly in finishing what was begun in 1973. Make this a memorable 2012.
Sincerely,
Paul Palazzo
