Historic Fort Greene Brooklyn

You’re Invited - FGA Holiday Season Party
December 2- 7PM -138 South Oxford

Fort Greeners,
Join your friends and neighbors for an evening of song and good cheer at the Fort Greene Association’s (FGA) Annual Holiday Party Pot Luck! Admission is FREE, bring your favorite dish (no cooking or heating available on premises) and we will provide the fun! Your first drink is on us, after that wine is $4 per glass, cash only.

The evening’s festivities include:

For the Children - Studio G (ground floor)
This year the children of Fort Greene will be lead by Long Island University Brooklyn Campus and Pratt Institute art students and alumni on a community mural to be donated to The Brooklyn Hospital’s Children’s Ward.

The Fort Greene Association will provide the art materials and your child provides their artistic talent!
Immediately following the activity we will have a surprise guest, sponsored by the Greenlight Bookstore for storytelling.

Babysitters will be provided by the FGA while you are upstairs enjoying the holiday party.

Please RSVP the number of children who will be participating and their ages to Lillian Jean-Baptiste 917.853.3702 or [email protected]

For the Adults - the Oak Room (2nd floor)
Catch up with your neighbors throughout the neighborhood while you enjoy the best local cooking.

Perhaps make a new friend as you sing the night away around the grand piano.

Don’t miss this year’s spectacular Fort Greene Merchant Raffle
Come prepared to purchase (cash) chances for your own winning holiday experience. Proceeds go to this year’s Christmas dinners for the needy in Fort Greene.

In addition to bringing your covered pot luck dish for the party, the FGA is asking guests to bring canned goods which will be donated to local food pantries. Local pantries have been helping to provide food for those who would otherwise go hungry, providing food for well over 100,000 meals a year. Top ten items of need are pasta sauce, parmalat (shelf stable) milk, peanut butter, tuna fish, dry pasta, baby food, canned vegetables, dry beans, canned meats. Additionally dry pet food is a huge help to families whose pets often go hungry or are given up to high kill shelters as result of family hardship. Please give in this Season of Giving.

The FGA thanks Greenlight Bookstore for providing fun for our young Fort Greeners and American Opera Projects for the musical embellishment
