FGA News - Stop Unwanted Ads

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

Fort Greeners,
You can stop unwanted ads in plastic bags and otherwise from appearing on your doorstep by putting up a sign mandated by a recent state law. Big penalties for evil-doers who leave “lawn litter” after you have posted the sign. Waterproof ones are available from Green Fort Greene & Clinton Hill at [email protected], or call Marcus Attorneys at (718) 643-6555 or stop by 13 Greene Avenue.

FGA Anti Litter Sign
EVEN BETTER, get others on your block to put up the signs as well. Let Green Fort Greene & Clinton Hill know if you would like to spread the signs on your block.
FINALLY, WHEN A SIGN IS PUT UP, PLEASE TELL GREEN FORT GREENE & CLINTON HILL THE ADDRESS AND, IF POSSIBLE, A PERSON AT THE BUILDING. When a critical mass has posted signs, Green Fort Greene & Clinton Hill will contact the companies that distribute lawn litter and try to convince them that it is no longer efficient to come into our neighborhood. (Other arrangements will be made for getting information on sales to our neighbors.)
Green Fort Greene & Clinton Hill is a project of the Fort Greene Association.
