The FGA is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to getting things done for the people of Fort Greene. You may know the FGA for its festive annual Holiday Party, House Tours, up-to-date Newsletter, and Community Meetings packed with information important to you.
But did you know that the FGA:
• Played a crucial role in the re-zoning Fort Greene and Clinton Hill to maintain the neighborhoods’ Brownstone character and made it happen three times as fast as in Park Slope?
• Started the Green Fort Greene / Clinton Hill campaign to reduce the Neighborhood’s carbon footprint?
• Actively works on development issues related to the Atlantic Yards and Admirals Row?
• Strives to keep kids in school, and on track, through sports by supporting the Pit Bulls, our local Pop Warner Football team? Several of the program’s “graduates” have gone on to scholarships at better NYC high schools as well as prestigious local private schools due to their involvement in the program.
