It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of true neighborhood hero.
dorris gaines golomb passed quietly in her beloved Fort Greene home yesterday afternoon, September 22, 2010.
Her mind was clear, she had no pain and she was completely accepting.
dorris decided against any memorial or funeral. In lieu of flowers donations should go to the Fort Greene Association, Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church or the Historic Districts Council.
It is with honor that we reprint the following award which was given to dorris in appreciation for her years of dedication and service to Fort Greene.
